Wholesaler A. F. Blakemore and son (known locally as Blakemores) has been serving our local communities for over 100 years.
Known best for their distribution of food and drink as well as outlets to local business and voluntary organisations, Blakemores also plays an important part in supporting the communities within which it works.
Thanks to a number of meetings held between the company and our chair, Steve Mellor, we are delighted to announce that Blakemores are the proud sponsor and funder of the upcoming Skittles Evening to be held on 27 May 2023.
The funding that has been generously offered by Blakemores will enable our charity to put on this social evening including games of skittles, food and taxi transport where needed by our members.
PRO Craig Bates says: "It is evenings like these that are so important to our members, many of whom may be elderly or else may struggle to travel independently, especially during the evening when towns can be unpredictable and may not feel as safe. This has allowed our members to come together and enjoy a great evening out without also having to worry a bout the implications on their already tight budgets.
